“Why Not” – a new vacationers campaign by Royal Caribbean

After the successful advertising campaign “Get out There”, a new ad campaign is to set sail. In the Nation of Why Not that anything is possible, set to rollout into advertising globally in 2009, vacationers on board a cruise line can secede from land to become residents of the nation with live action and animation, with onboard amenities, gold anchor service, unique activities such as ice skating on board with the beautiful surroundings of the equator or climb mountains at sea, or riding the waves in the surf simulators. Showing the philosophy of cruising behind Royal Caribbean, in addition to the current 20 ships, the line’s newest additions to the fleet include the Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas in December 2009 and late 2010.

Celebrity Solstice emerges in US

Departing April 20th, Crystal’s Golf Cruise explores Four of the most world-renowned golf courses in Thailand and Vietnam will be experienced on board and ashore in six star qualities having instruction from a guest celebrity golfer with Taylor Equipment and PGA golf pro with cocktails and cart service on the greens. 2010 launches four grand voyages a-sail Holland America

Passengers booking on Holland America Cruises have the opportunity to choose from the Grand World Voyage of 114 days, or a Grand Voyage from 51-70days. Grand Voyages cover South Africa savannah, China, Antarctica, South America, Great Barrier Reef, and the Mediterranean and black sea. The Grand World Voyage leaves Fort Lauderdale on January 6th, features 40 ports on six continents, and 12 overnight calls allowing guests two days to explore locations like Panama City, Panama, Callo (Lima), Peru, Buenos Aires. Cape Town, Argentina, Victoria (Seychelles), South Africa, Singapore, Mumbai India, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Xingang (Beijing), China, Kobe (Osaka), and Yokohama (Tokyo), Japan.

Prinsendam, the 793 guest ship for Holland America sails two back to back journeys in 2010, the first being a 70 day tour to South America and Antarctica through the Amazon River, Machu Picchu, Iguacu Falls, Panama Canal, and nine ports in Brazil, maiden calls at Iquique, Isla Robinson Crusoe, Chile and overnight visits to Manaus, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Calao (Lima), Fuerte Amador, Panama, and Peru on a 70 day voyage.

The 54 Grand Voyages from Fort Lauderdale will explore Europe on Prinsendam to the Mediterranean and Black Sea. In the Mediterranean, stops include more than 10 countries including France, Italy, Malta, Spain, Russia, Portugal, Georgia, Greece, and Turkey with overnights in Barcelona, Spain, Istanbul, Turkey, Lisbon and Portugal with late night departures to Greece, Athens, Santorini, Lisbon and Portugal where the ship ends in NY or Florida.

A 69 day journey from Amsterdam departs September 24th, 2010 from Seattle toward Asia (Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Saigon, Vietnam, Thailand, Bankok, Kampong Saom, Cambodia, Amesterdam), to Darwin, Australia, and the Great Barrier Reef for three days then to Austrailia, South Pacific, Honolulu Hawaii and Returning to San Diego on December 2nd. Overnight stays include Sydney Australia, Laem Chabang (Bangkok), Thailand, Xingang (Beijing), Shanghai, and Hong Kong.

The 124 day journey explores the Atlantic combining the Mediterranean and Black Sea journey with the South American Voyage, leaving Fort-Lauderdale January 13, 2010.

Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas arrives in the United States

The newest ship in Royal Caribbean’s freedom class, the sister ship to Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas, ported in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at Port Everglades. Industry first amenities are aboard the vessel including a Flow rider surf simulator, the H2O Zone water park, interactive sculpture family garden, toddler pool, whirlpools, full-size boxing ring, 14-person family suite, and adults-only solarium – for its 3,634 guests at 160,000GRT. Other features, found on all Royal’s ships include an ice-skating rink, rock climbing wall, youth program, Broadway entertainment, Royal Promenade of shops, restaurants, bars/lounges, and dining venues of varying styles.


Royal Caribbean sails 20 ships currently, with two under construction. The Independence will sail from Fort Lauderdale on six night Western Caribbean tours (Costa Maya, Mexico, Cozumel, Belize and Belize City, and either night eastern Caribbean sailings (San Juan, Puerto Rico, Charlotte Amalie, Saint Thomas, Saint Maarten, Phillipsburg, and Royal’s Haiti private beach Labadie.)
