

The newest ship in Royal Caribbean’s freedom class, the sister ship to Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas, ported in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at Port Everglades. Industry first amenities are aboard the vessel including a Flow rider surf simulator, the H2O Zone water park, interactive sculpture family garden, toddler pool, whirlpools, full-size boxing ring, 14-person family suite, and adults-only solarium – for its 3,634 guests at 160,000GRT. Other features, found on all Royal’s ships include an ice-skating rink, rock climbing wall, youth program, Broadway entertainment, Royal Promenade of shops, restaurants, bars/lounges, and dining venues of varying styles.

The Independence will sail from Fort Lauderdale on six night Western Caribbean tours (Costa Maya, Mexico, Cozumel, Belize and Belize City, and either night eastern Caribbean sailings (San Juan, Puerto Rico, Charlotte Amalie, Saint Thomas, Saint Maarten, Phillipsburg, and Royal’s Haiti private beach Labadie.)
