Two large cruise lines, Carnival Cruises and Royal Caribbean Cruise both have cancelled Fuel surcharges on cruises booked after November 10th, for voyages in 2009 or 2010 – with previously booked trips having rebates determined quarterly based on the price of oil. Suspending fuel supplements is potentially another offering which may make cruising another economical solution for cruise travelers onboard. Fuel surcharges can range up to 9% per person on a daily basis.
